A company producing medicinal Cannabis as well as Cannabis for adult recreational use was able to witness what may be the strangest storm of all time through CCTV footage.
Every year, we hear the oldsters muttering about the weather. We probably join in. After all, the global climate is changing in wildly unpredictable ways. But for once, Global warming has nothing to do with whacky weather in Oregon as the US state experienced its first ever “weed tornado”.
Crazy footage shows truth is stranger than fiction
Of course, Cannabis is legal in the state, and as you can imagine, plots where it is grown are placed under heavy security measures including CCTV cameras. A company producing medicinal Cannabis as well as Cannabis for adult recreational use was able to witness what may be the strangest storm of all time through CCTV footage.
It’s just as well they have that footage, as the business will be required to report on every plant that it grows, and this story sounds too strange to be true. But sometimes, truth is stranger than fiction, and there’s no arguing with film footage that shows plants being ripped out of the ground by a mini-tornado!
The footage shows the Cannabis field from a corner of the plot, and at first, all you notice is that it’s rather windy out there, but then the twister comes swooping in, throwing up dirt, debris, and of course the plants in question. An employee who witnessed the twister at first hand says that uprooted plants flew more than 8 feet into the air before finally coming to rest 50 feet further on.
Unfortunately for those who may have been hoping for an unexpected windfall, the uprooted plants remained on the property, having been deposited in the neighboring field rather than on the other side of the fences.
