What is CBG oil?
CBG or cannabigerol is a foreign word to you? Then it's time to change that! Hemp has more to offer than CBD (cannabidiol) and THC - there are well over 100 known cannabinoids, with both users and researchers showing particular interest in CBG.
There are reasons for this: The effect of CBG is in principle similar to that of CBD - pain relief, relaxation, positive effects on the endocannabinoid system, and help with nausea and stress. But there are subtle differences that make CBG products more suitable for certain ailments or a good complement to your CBD product.
CBG is not found in its pure form in the hemp plant but as CBGa (cannabigerol acid). When exposed to heat, the acid group splits off and the active ingredient is ready to be used by the body. This process is also called "activation".
We gently extract our CBG from our own organic hemp plants and then process it into an easily consumable, natural CBG oil in premium quality.
The effect of CBG oil
CBG offers support in many ways. It is commonly used against anxiety and stress, glaucoma, intestinal inflammation, nausea, or even depression. CBG oil is also said to help with psoriasis. In 2015, a university study showed that CBG oil can also be effective in the case of bladder dysfunction.
CBG, like CBD, interacts with the cannabinoid receptors of the body's endocannabinoid system. The receptors are divided into two types: CB1 and CB2 receptors. Together they make up the endocannabinoid system and are responsible for maintaining the balance of various vital functions.
As a result, cannabigerol (CBG) does not only act in a specific area of the body but is a "regulatory" substance that helps our endocannabinoid system maintain the aforementioned balance.
Especially when your endocannabinoid system is out of whack, externally supplied CBG can restore the system’s balance and thus, for example, strengthen the immune system or support the body’s inflammatory response. CBG has even been shown to increase the production of anandamide.
Anandamide is the most important body's own cannabinoid. The effects of anandamide are valuable. Anandamide helps regulate your sleep, appetite, and memory by acting directly on the CB1 and CB2 receptors.
Uses of CBG oil
1. Stress and anxiety: CBG can inhibit the neurotransmitter GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid), thus relieving anxiety and reducing muscle tension. CBD also has this property.
2. Glaucoma: It was discovered as early as 1984 that CBG can help reduce intraocular pressure. Thus, CBG oil is a natural alternative to support the body's response in the case of glaucoma.
3. Inflammatory bowel disease and Chron's disease: Like CBD, CBG is said to have strong anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties.
4. Depression: CBG is said to have antidepressant effects and increase general well-being.
5. Nausea: When faced with nausea and vomiting, one needs quick help. CBG is said to relieve both ailments.
6. Neuroprotection: Studies have shown that CBG is a promising active ingredient for supporting the central nervous system. Studies from 2015 suggest that cannabigerol may play a crucial role in delaying the progression of neurodegenerative diseases, particularly in the case of epilepsy and Huntington's disease.
7. Psoriasis: Thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties, CBG can help against psoriasis if applied topically (on the skin).
Benefits of CBG oil
The biggest advantage of CBG oil is that it is a natural and safe remedy to help the body fight against a variety of disorders. However, you can also take CBG in the
form of capsules or crystals. So why choose the oil?
CBG oil offers the following benefits:
It has a fast effect, as the oral mucosa directly absorbs part of the active ingredients.
You can dose it very precisely and easily adapt it to your own needs.
It can be applied directly to the skin or added to creams to prevent premature ageing.
You can mix it with a wide variety of drinks and foods and let creativity run wild.
It is ideal for those who find it difficult to swallow capsules.
You can mix it with CBD oil for an entourage effect.
How to take CBG oil
Using CBG oil is simple and no different from taking CBD oil. Follow the step-by-step instructions below to get the most out of your oil:
Stand in front of a mirror so that you can observe how many CBG drops actually end up in your mouth.
Use the dropper to draw up the oil and slowly drip it under your tongue. To
do this, press the tip of your tongue against the roof of your mouth. This way the CBG oil reaches the oral mucosa and the body absorbs it quicker.
Then close your mouth and keep the CBG oil under your tongue for one to two
minutes. Do not swallow it immediately.
Once this time has elapsed, you can swallow the oil-saliva mixture. The
remaining cannabigerol is absorbed by the gastrointestinal tract.
CBG oil dosage
CBG products are available with different CBG contents. In our shop, we currently have 5% CBG oil in stock. Its main advantage is that it is easy to dose and uncomplicated to take. There is also CBG oil with a CBG concentration of 10% or more - above a certain percentage, however, it becomes difficult to dose to the milligram.
How much CBG you should take to achieve the perfect dosage cannot be said in general terms. It depends largely on how you are built (height and weight). It also depends on which symptoms you want to alleviate (the more intense the symptoms, the higher the dosage) and how your body processes CBG oil.
Therefore, consciously start with a very low dosage. You can tend to use a generally lower dosage than with CBD, for example. Slowly approach your "feel-good" dose and attentively observe how CBG impacts your well-being. Start with one to two CBG drops and increase your dosage bit by bit.
If in doubt, follow the recommendation on the packaging and ask your family doctor or another expert for advice
Side effects of CBG oil
Just like CBD, CBG is considered safe and extremely well tolerated. When used properly, side effects are therefore rare.
However, if the dosage is too high, the following side effects may occur:
Please note that CBG - like all other cannabinoids - interacts with certain medications. If you are taking medication, you should discuss the use of CBG products with a doctor.
It is also strongly discouraged to take cannabinoids during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
What should I look for when buying CBG oil?
Before choosing a CBG oil, it is best to ask yourself the following questions:
Is it made from organically grown, EU-certified hemp?
Is its quality certified by independent third-party laboratories?
Does it contain only natural ingredients?
We at enecta can answer all of them with a resounding yes.
What does our CBG oil contain?
To produce good CBG oil, it is best to rely on Mother Nature. Accordingly, our CBG oil is composed exclusively of natural ingredients, i.e..:
Cold pressed hemp seed oil
How to determine CBG oil quality
Natural products containing cannabinoids, including CBG products, are experiencing a real boom. The choice on the market is correspondingly large and consumers quickly lose the overview. So quite a few people might be asking themselves how to recognise good CBG oil.
Here are the four factors that we consider decisive:
Cultivation of the hemp plants: To produce high-quality CBG oil, you first need top-class hemp cultivated without chemical additives of any kind. These would contaminate the oil right from the start.
Independent quality controls: Quality controls are crucial to determine the CBG content and to ensure that the product is pure. Independent controls also guarantee that the amount of THC does not exceed the legal threshold. Upon request, reputable suppliers provide the results of such laboratory tests.
Short supply chain: With a short supply chain, it is much easier to keep track of what is going on and to make sure that every step in the production process meets our own standards.
Quality assurance guidelines: Compliance with guidelines drawn up by independent organisations is essential to produce a high-quality product.
When it comes to CBG oils, these three are particularly important:
Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)
Good agricultural and collection practice (GACP)
These are the principles upon which we have built our company.
How is CBG oil made?
We are proud that our products made from hemp - including the CBG oil with 500 mg CBG - are 100 percent the result of our work. We grow our hemp plants ourselves - accompanying them through every phase of their growth - and also handle the extraction.
Roughly speaking, it can be divided into two phases.
1. In the first phase, we crush the flowers and leaves of the hemp plants. From the resulting mass, we then extract all the valuable ingredients such as:
2. In the second phase, we refine the extract to reach the desired concentration of
active ingredients and then mix it with our hemp seed oil, which contains vitamin E and omega fatty acids.
Our CBG oil contains a total of 500 mg of CBG distributed over 10 ml of liquid. The perfect amount to try CBG and do something good for you or your loved ones!
CBG Oil Testimonials
CBG is the first cannabinoid the hemp plant develops and is, therefore, fundamental to the production of all other cannabinoids. Nevertheless, it was discovered only in 1964 and even today it is still relatively unknown both among users and scientists. This is why the testimonials of those who use it to enhance their well-being and get support for specific ailments are particularly valuable.
If you scroll through a couple of forums, you will notice that CBG is particularly convincing to people with eye problems. This is not surprising, as it is well-known that it can regulate intraocular pressure.
But you also read about busy people who like to skip a meal and use CBG to increase their appetite.
Many also recommend taking CBG oil together with CBD and report that this synergy enhances the beneficial properties of both compounds.
Finally, some are a little surprised by the somewhat bitter taste of CBG, but in general no one finds it unpleasant.
Legal status of CBG Oil
CBG is legal in almost every European country, as well as in the UK, and the USA. So you have nothing to fear when you buy your CBG oil in our shop.
It is important that the end product contains less than 0.2 percent THC. This limit applies equally to CBD products and CBG products. Make sure that no synthetic substances have been added to the CBG oil - this is unnecessary.
We at enecta rely on the power of nature, which in the case of our cannabigerol is convincing all along the line! CBG is considered a safe active ingredient and is said to
have no serious side effects.
Questions and answers about CBG oil:
CBG is known as the "mother of all cannabinoids". Nevertheless, it is still comparatively unknown, and questions are piling up. In the following chapter, we give an answer to the most frequent of them.
CBG (cannabigerol) is the first cannabinoid to develop in hemp. It has been in the public eye for a comparatively short time, which is why scientific evidence for its effect is rare.
However, testimonials are unanimously positive. Initial studies also point to the potential of CBG oil, which is extracted directly from young hemp plants.
Just like CBD and THC, CBG interacts with your endocannabinoid system (ECS). The ECS is made up of CB1 and CB2 receptors, which have a decisive influence on vital processes in your body (e.g. the immune system).
CBG is said to bind predominantly to the CB1 receptors, while CBD, for example, has a strong affinity for CB2 receptors.
In addition, CBG oil stimulates the formation of important endogenous cannabinoids.
CBD is a derivative of CBG. All CBD products you take originate as CBG in hemp. The
effect of both cannabinoids is quite similar, although there are subtle differences that might influence your decision. You should consider that CBG can help with skin proble , for example, and improve sleep.
CBD is more suitable for relieving gastrointestinal complaints and managing pain. According to the current state of research, CBG is also slightly ahead with regard to eye disorders - its positive effect on intraocular pressure is considered proven.
CBD, on the other hand, is only suspected of being able to provide relief here.
Another feature: CBG is used against nausea. There are also differences in the effect on the appetite: While CBG stimulates appetite, CBD can even help to reduce it.
The question of whether CBD or CBG is better cannot be answered in a general way. Both substances are of natural origin and even have a quite similar spectrum of effects.
Those who have stomach problems or want to relieve pain tend to prefer CBD. Those
who want to alleviate skin problems, eye diseases, or sleeping problems opt for CBG oil. Those who want to benefit from all the positive properties of cannabinoids take both CBD oil and CBG oil in combination.
There are still too few studies on the effectiveness of CBG oil and other CBG
products in animals. There is hardly any information about the compatibility of these products with dogs, cats, horses, and other animals.
If you want to pamper your pet, we recommend using our hemp oil for animals. It has been developed for your four-legged friend and it is proven that the active ingredients contained in hemp oil with CBD are beneficial to animals.
CBD and CBG each have their Benefits - Users ask themselves: Why not just take both? This question is justified: Currently, there are no field reports or research results that suggest that CBD and CBG interact negatively with each other. Quite the contrary.
In some cases, it is even recommended to use the full spectrum of hemp (entourage effect). This means: You can combine CBD oil or CBD capsules with our CBG oil without hesitation. How and when you take your hemp products is up to you.
