What are Cannabinoids?

Cannabinoids are compounds which are able to bind with the receptors of the Endocannabinoid System. They are divided in:
- ENDOCANNABINOIDS: produced inside the human body.
- PHYTOCANNABINOIDS: exogenous cannabinoids, like those present in the Cannabis plants, of which the most studied are THC and CBD.
- SYNTHETIC CANNABINOIDS: produced in the lab for therapeutic purposes and/or scientific research.
