Cannabinoids are a class of chemical compounds that act on cannabinoid receptors. They are naturally occurring constituents of Hemp/Cannabis plant, commonly used to support general wellness.
Cannabinoid receptors, located throughout the body, are part of the Endocannabinoid System which is involved in a variety of physiological processes including appetite, pain-sensation, mood, and memory.
Our body produced Cannabinoids and these are called Endogenous googleCannabinoids or Endocannabinoids.
Cannabis Plants make similar Cannabinoids and they are called Phytocannabinoids. Synthetic Cannabinoids are manufactured artificially in laboratory.
Products from Enecta contain only natural Cannabinoids from Hemp plant: these are therefore Phytocannabinoids.
CBD (short for Cannabidiol) is one of well over a hundred different Phyto-cannabinoids, which are chemical compounds produced by the Cannabis plant. CBD, unlike THC, the best known of the Phyto-cannabinoids, has no psychoactive effects; this means that using it does not make you high.
CBD is now rivalling THC, having become well known as having potential for significant health benefits, without the psychotropic consequences of using THC. CBD is appreciated for its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, muscle relaxant, analgesic, antiemetic, anti-anxiety properties, and anticonvulsant effects. These are currently being researched by the Medical Community. Numerous studies suggest that CBD also acts to reduce the intoxicating effects of THC, such as memory impairment, and paranoia.
To learn about the effects of CBD on health and know the latest results of the studies, we recommend you to do your own research on PubMed and specialized magazines.
In nature, CBD and THC are found mostly in their acid form: CBD as CBDa and THC as THCa. The plants actually contain very little CBD or THC.
What’s most remarkable is that if you eat the plant raw, as nature intended, you will not get the psychoactive side effect as THCa is non-psychoactive.
The reason for this is that you need to heat THCa in order to turn it into THC.
Scientifically and genetically, Hemp and Marijuana are the same plant, with a genus and species name of Cannabis Sativa. Hemp (also called Industrial Hemp) is always a strain of Cannabis Sativa, while Marijuana can be Cannabis Sativa, Cannabis Indica, or Cannabis Ruderalis. The major difference is how industrial Hemp has been bred compared to a Marijuana form of Cannabis Sativa. Industrial Hemp is very fibrous, with long strong stalks, and barely has any flowering buds, while a Marijuana strain of Cannabis Sativa will be smaller, bushier, and full of flowering buds. Marijuana, usually has a high amount of THC and only a very low amount of non-psychoactive Cannabinoids such as CBD.
Hemp, on the other hand, naturally has a very high amount of CBD and only a trace amount of THC.
Fortunately, the Cannabinoid profile of Hemp is ideal for people looking for benefits from Cannabis without the high.
Hemp is used for making medicinal remedies, food, fiber, rope, paper, bricks, oil, natural plastic, and so much more, whereas Marijuana is usually used recreationally, spiritually, and medicinally.
Our extracts are from Hemp plant. They are sometimes referred to by people as Cannabis oil, as the term Cannabis can technically describe Hemp or Marijuana. In our case, the term Cannabis oil is obviously being used to describe our Hemp oils with a high amount of CBD and a negligible amount of THC (<0,2%).
A Hemp extract is a substance or an active ingredient with desirable properties that is removed from the tissue of plant of Hemp/Cannabis by treating it with a solvent.
Our Hemp extracts are also known as CBD oil, because they contain a high percentage of Cannabidiol.
The extraction method used is important for the quality of whole extract and for the active principles that it contains (Phytocomplex).
Because the extraction used to make our oil yields a full spectrum extract, our Hemp extracts contain different phyto-cannabinoids, including CBDa, CBG, CBN and many other types of natural molecules and phyto-chemical compounds such as Vitamins, Fatty Acids, trace Minerals, Chlorophyll, Flavonoids and Terpenes.
