Hemp is a truly hempsational plant

Hemp has the potential to do many different things that benefit the planet as well as the people who live on it. When it comes to this incredible plant there are different varieties that serve different purposes.

Industrial Hemp

is unique in its own right with each type displaying unique characteristics. From seed size to oil content there's a multitude of factors and characteristics that give each unique strain of hemp its own individuality.

Some varieties are grown for fiber while others are grown for seed amongst other purposes. Varieties that are specifically grown for fiber production on average have a bast fiber (bast fibers are cellulosic fibers that are strong) percentage ranging up to 25%.

There are two basic types of industrial hemp varieties. One is the Dioecious which contains both female and male parts on separate plants and the other is Monoecious which have both parts on the same plant.

Here are some examples of hempsational varieties of hemp and the characteristics associated with them. Below you will find two Monoecious and two Dioecious types of EU certified hemp sowing seed.

Varieties of Hemp

Futura 75 (FR) has a Monoecious genotype expression and is predominantly found in the Atlantic climate of Europe. A long-running veg cycle of 150 days accompanies Futura 75. Being a tall plant coming in at 250 to 350 centimeters Futura 75 is an excellent choice for fiber and biomass yields while also producing strong oil and grain/seed yields.

Fedora 17 (FR) has a Monoecious genotypic expression and is cultivated in the Atlantic climate of Europe. Fedora contains a vegetative cycle that spans 135 days on average. Fedora is a medium height plant coming in at between 200 and 250 centimeters. This strain of hemp is recommended for fiber and grain. Fedora also is known for its easy and earliness of harvesting as well as its cannabinoid profile.

Tiborszallasi has a Dioecious genotypic expression and is cultivated in the Continental climate of Europe. Tiborszallasi has a long vegetative cycle lasting on average 150 days while producing a tall plant between 250 to 350 centimeters. Tiborszallasi is recommended for CBD and fiber. If fiber and biomass yields are what you are after, then Tiborszallasi may be just the seed you need to sow.

Kompolti has a Dioecious genotypic expression and is cultivated in the Continental climate of Europe. Kompolti has an extremely long vegetative cycle of 150 days while producing a gigantic plant at 350 centimeters on average. Kompolti is recommended if you are looking for CBD and fiber. The CBD content comes in between the 2.0 to 3.0 percentile making Kompolti a great strain for CBD.

There's a multitude of varieties of hemp on the market today around the globe. With regulations on cannabis changing worldwide, the future of hemp is looking to be a truly hempsational one.
