What is the difference between hemp oil and CBD oil?

The main difference between hemp oil and CBD oil lies in how they’re made and what they contain. Hemp oil, also known as hemp seed oil, is obtained by cold-pressing hemp seeds. It does not contain cannabinoids such as CBD or THC, but it’s still rich in beneficial nutrients like omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, vitamins, and antioxidants that support general well-being and skin health. CBD oil, on the other hand, is extracted from the flowers and leaves of the hemp plant, where cannabinoids are naturally concentrated. It contains cannabidiol (CBD), a bioactive compound that interacts with the endocannabinoid system and other neurotransmitter pathways in the body. For this reason, CBD oil may help support the body in cases of stress, anxiety, pain, and sleep disturbances, promoting balance and relaxation.

Hemp seed oil, along with coconut MCT oil, is often used as a carrier oil to dilute CBD extracts and produce different concentrations of CBD oil, ensuring better absorption and bioavailability.

Why choose Enecta CBD oil?

  • Our CBD oil is crafted from Enectaliana® and Enectarol®, two of our proprietary hemp genetics, and the first varieties ever developed specifically for extraction purposes and registered in the European Plant Variety Database. These exclusive strains were designed to exceed traditional industrial hemp in both quality and CBD content, ensuring a purer and more effective extract.

  • We grow our hemp plants in Abruzzo, Italy, following strict agricultural and environmental standards. Each plant is carefully selected and cultivated according to GACP (Good Agricultural and Collection Practices) to guarantee consistency, traceability, and purity throughout the entire production process. All Enecta CBD oils are proudly Made in Italy, Pesticide Free, Heavy Metal Free, and produced under Monitored Warehouse conditions for complete transparency and safety.

  • Our advanced full spectrum extraction method maximizes the plant’s natural potential, preserving its wide range of cannabinoids and terpenes to deliver a CBD oil that combines efficacy, safety, and exceptional quality.

Therefore, it is best to store the CBD oil in the refrigerator where it's cold and dark. This way, you significantly increase shelf life. CBD capsules, on the other hand, should be stored in a dark place at a temperature between 16 and 28 degrees (so not in the refrigerator).

Our 3% CBD oil is very suitable for beginners. It contains mainly hemp seed oil and hemp extract. The amount of CBD is 300 mg. 1 drop corresponds to 1 mg.
Since it is a full-spectrum product, it also contains other compounds found in hemp:

  • CBDA
  • CBV
  • CBG
  • CBN
  • Terpenes and flavonoids
  • Other natural compounds

As a carrier oil, we use cold-pressed hemp seed oil.
If you want to take CBD at a moderate or even high dosage, you should choose an oil with a higher CBD content.

There is no one size fits all answer to this question because there are numerous factors that come into play:

  • The type of CBD oil
  • The way you use it
  • The dosage
  • The individual reaction of the body

What is certain is that CBD oil works fastest when the drops are placed directly under the tongue. In this case, you can feel the effects between 20 and 40 minutes after use. It is recommended to take the oil on an empty stomach to speed up the absorption.

The percentage on the packaging corresponds to the concentration of CBD in the oil. The higher the percentage, the higher the concentration.

Our 3% CBD extract is perfect for beginners. 10% CBD hemp seed oil is optimal for everyday users. 15% and 24% CBD oils are for those who want to take CBD at high doses. In particular, 24% is the ideal concentration to support the body in case of chronic pain.

The total amount of CBD (in mg) in the bottle is also essential. In fact, this information makes it possible to determine the CBD content per drop and thus to dose the oil with great accuracy. In our shop, we indicate the total amount of the active ingredient on all products.

10% CBD per 10 ml hemp seed oil equals 1,000mg CBD in one bottle of our premium bestseller. Here, too, we work with the full spectrum so that all valuable compounds produced by the hemp plant end up in the bottle.

We do not use any special additives or carrier substances and rely instead on Mother Nature.

The ingredients include:

  • Cold-pressed hemp seed oil

  • Vitamin E
  • CBD and other cannabinoids

CBD is legal in the UK, the USA, and all EU countries. That said, the EU Novel Food Catalog does not list CBD as a novel food. In other words, the sale of CBD as a food is prohibited.

Consequently, if you see a retailer selling CBD as food, you should be careful. It is also important to note that laws and regulations are not the same in all countries and that they also may vary.
